Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies

These tender Peanut Butter cookies are an absolute must during the Christmas time. Even though Switzerland has amazing chocolate I am still a big fan of Hershey’s kisses and these cookies really have it all - the tenderness of the peanut butter cookies and the chocolatey crunch from the Hershey’s kiss really create an explosion of taste.

These Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies are super fun to make with friends or family and are ready in only 30 minutes!

Prep Time: 20 Minutes

Cook Time: 10 Minutes

Ingredients for 36 cookies:

  • White Sugar - 100 g

  • Cane Sugar - 100 g

  • Peanut Butter (Creamy) - 120 g

  • Butter - 110 g

  • Egg - 1 Medium

  • All Purpose Flour - 120 g

  • Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon

  • Hershey’s Kisses Milk Chocolates - 36 (you can get them here or in specialty shops (Jelmoli/Globus) you can also use other chocolate but the originals are made with Hershey’s kisses.

Preparation:

  1. First of all remove the butter from the fridge and let it warm up at room temperature.

  2. Pre-heat the oven to 190°C.

  3. In a bowl, mix together the white sugar, cane sugar, peanut butter, soft butter and the egg until it’s all well mixed. Add in the baking powder and the flour and mix with your hands forming a dough.

  4. Once the dough is well worked you can start making little balls (around 2 cm) and roll them in some sugar. Put them in a baking sheet far enough from one another.

  5. Bake the cookies for 8 minutes at 190°C (if they don’t look a bit golden at 8 minutes leave them in another minute or 2). Once the time has passed take them out of the oven and quickly press the piece of chocolate (preferably Hershey’s kisses) into the center of the cookie.

  6. Let them cool for around 10/15 minutes and enjoy them :)
