At first sight, Zürich wouldn’t strike you as a typical Burger city but the options and the quality of the burgers is bound to surprise you. After all, Switzerland is known both for its great meat quality and yummy cheese so how can they go wrong? After trying almost every burger in town I made the following selection for you to choose from, making sure that there is at least one vegan or vegetarian option available! The Bite and Stamped are the definite winners for me along with Himalaya Burger which is an absolute must try!

Swiss cuisine is not all about Fondue and Raclette (even though I could live on Fondue) and there are many delicious Swiss restaurants you can visit around Zürich to deep dive into the Swiss culture and dishes. In Zürich, one of the most famous dishes is the Zürcher Geschnetzeltes - a veal dish served with a creamy mushroom sauce and Rösti on the side (many restaurants make it but in the list you’ll find the ones I like the most).

You can’t come to Zürich in the summertime without going to at least 2 or 3 Badis - Badis are outdoor swimming areas and Zürich is not only full of them but also very famous for them (it was named #2 best city to bathe in worldwide by CNN if you don’t believe me!) The Badis in Zürich are quite unique and they range from upper scale historical swimming houses to laid back chill out spots by the river, some you have to pay for while others are free

Brunch in Zürich is a serious deal and you sometimes have to reserve weeks ahead if you want a spot in one of these delicious spots! I started this list a while ago and was never really sure when to make this blog post go live as I kept adding places on a daily/ weekly basis as there are just so many great ones.

If there is one thing that Zürich does well its Cafés and specialised Coffee places. I love breakfast / brunch and love to discover new places and in Zürich it sometimes feels like I will never stop discovering as a new places opens up every week it seems. I therefore decided to start this blog with my favourite and some of the most special cafés in Zürich also as a guide to you so you can see where you can do take away, dine in, what kind of food options away you and what kind of special coffee you can drink.
