Best Rooftops in Zürich
Nothing beats the beauty of Zürich during summertime: the badis, the bars and the good weather keep everyone in a good mood and remind you why you are living here or why it was worth visiting the city. One of our favorite summertime activities is hanging out on rooftop terraces either having a drink with friends, a romantic dinner or reading a book solo. This year we discovered some new gems and have compiled the ultimate Zürich Rooftop Guide for you.
The Nest at Storchen Hotel
The Nest is a brand new rooftop that recently opened in the Storchen Hotel right in the center of town. It will be open until October and it tends to get quite busy with this beautiful weather so make sure you book a table. The Nest is also offering exclusive breakfasts on the roof which can be booked here.
Opening Times: Monday to Sunday from 12 pm until 10 pm

La Muña
La Muña is the newest rooftop addition in town. Located in the hotel La Réserve Eden au Lac, it is absolutely perfect for a nice dinner - some of the top items on the menu are the ceviches and the gyozas. If you want to enjoy the terrace for a drink you absolutely can as well.
Opening Times for drinks: Monday to Sunday 8 pm until 12 pm

Hiltl Dachterrasse
The Hiltl Dachterrasse is a dream. You feel like you are worlds away yet you are right in the center of town. The ambiance is delightful and the food is vegetarian only - you can also just do drinks but we recommend it more for lunch/ dinner or a light snack along with drinks. - oh and get the stuffed Jalapeño peppers!
Opening Times: Monday to Thurs 10 am until 10 pm, Friday 11:30 pm, Sunday 9 pm

George Bar & Grill
George Bar & Grill is best known for it’s meat - the Striploin is delightful. You can also come to the terrace simply to enjoy the view and the drinks. The atmosphere is a little “fancier” and we recommend it more for a nice night out.
Opening Times: Tue to Fri 11:30 pm to 14:30 pm and 5 pm until 12 pm

OOO Rooftop @ Modissa
We love the OOO Rooftop at Modissa for a quick break during shopping or an afterwork drink with snacks. Order the Swiss Mini Burger or the Crispy Duck Salad and enjoy the view over Bahnhofstrasse.
Opening Times: Everyday 11:30 pm until 22 pm, Sunday’s from 3 pm

Grieder Bar
The Grider Bar is a little gem on Bahnhofstrasse. It is located inside the Bongenie Grieder store which is the only downside as they close quite early. We recommend you go on Saturday during your shopping spree. You will feel like you have suddenly left the city and have landed in a magical garden.
Opening Times: Everyday 10 am until 7 pm, Saturday until 6 pm, Sunday closed

Helvetia Rooftop Bar
There are so many things to love about the Helvetia Hotel and one of them is their rooftop bar, the second one is their pool bar. Unfortunately it’s bookable only for private events so you will have to convince your boss or best friend to throw a party here!
Haute
It’s a pity that Haute is a members only restaurant and bar as the views and food are absolutely magnificent. Check out their website to see how you can become a member and
