Best Chinese Restaurants in Zürich (2023 Edition)
September was all about Chinese food for me as I wanted to try the most recommended Chinese restaurants in Zürich and pick out my favourite ones. I am by no means an expert when it comes to Chinese food but having grown up with a lot of Chinese friends I was able to get the right tips and order the right dishes.
For me, Chinese food is all about the sauces, the dim sum and the way they are able to combine a variety of flavours that explode in your mouth. Trying out so many restaurants really gave me a whole new perspective on what Chinese food and hospitality really are about.
To my surprise, there was a lot more Chinese restaurants in Zürich than I originally thought and many of them offer delicious authentic Chinese food. Below you’ll find a list of my favourite Chinese restaurants in Zürich but let me know if there are more that I need to try!
Hongxi
Hongxi is an authentic and delicious Chinese restaurant in Kreis 4. The atmosphere is simple and the service is really good. It’s the place to go if you are looking for good Dim Sum.

LE Cuisine
LE Cuisine is one of the newest Chinese restaurants in town and has quickly become one of the favourites. The owners are incredibly nice and the food is authentic and yummy. There are not too many vegetarian options but the ones available are delicious.

Bund 39
Bund 39 is a Shanghainese restaurant with beautiful atmosphere. The place has a super cozy feeling and is perfect for date nights. The cuisine is more refined than other Chinese restaurants and you’ll find lots of options from ramen to dumplings.

Lotus Garden
Lotus Garden is always packed even on weekdays and is one of the most recommended restaurants by the Chinese community. The dishes are incredibly tasty, authentic and they also have a lot of vegetarian options.

Wesley's Kitchen
Wesley’s Kitchen is super famous for their dumplings which they also sell at all the Christmas and food markets and they never disappoint. You can get the dumplings take away but you can also taste other incredible dishes like their crispy fried soft shell crab

Ach'i
Ach’i is another affordable Chinese restaurant with a lot of options. The place is always packed but the service is super friendly and fast. A good place to come with a group of friends and order a bunch of different stuff to put in the middle.

Khujug
Khujung is all about Szechuan food and can get a little spicier. The place itself is very informal and the staff is really nice. The price / quality ratio is also almost unbeatable.
