French Week
As many of you read, this quarantine has got us going crazy not just because it is changing our lives so much but also because it is keeping us away from travelling and from seeing our families and friends. Since we love travelling and discovering new foods and cultures we figured that we had to find a way to continue discovering without leaving our house!
This led us to introduce the country weeks - each week we will dive into a new country to discover their main dishes and learn something new! It will also be our first time doing many of these dishes and we are very excited to try new flavours!
The first week on our travel tour took us through France where we tried multiple recipes: Ratatouille, Flammkuchen, Hachis Parmentier, Quiche Lorraine and Beef Bourguignon as well as some delicious desserts like Tarte Tatin and Pears in Pijamas.
During this French Week we learned that you can never have enough butter in your fridge - yes, most French dishes are not light but definitely worth it!
Even though French Week is now over, we want to share some of the books with you that inspired our dishes so that they can maybe inspire you too:
My Life in France - Julia Child
A Kitchen in France - Mimi Thorisson
One More Croissant for the Road - Felicity Cloake
