Candied Pecans
I have become absolutely obsessed with Candied Pecans since I discovered them. Originally I was playing around with them to create fun Thanksgiving recipes but I quickly realised that they go well with so many things. My favourite salad now has goat cheese and candied pecans, but you can also add them to your breakfast yogurt or muesli or even try them with a chicken or tuna salad or just eat them as a snack on their own.
Candied Pecans are so easy to make and you don’t even need to turn on the oven, everything is done in a pan in literally 5 minutes with almost no ingredients at all.
Cook Time: 5 Minutes
Ingredients for 100 g Pecans:
Pecan Halves - 100 g
Brown Sugar - 100 g
Water - 2 Tbs
Ground Cinnamon - a pinch
Salt - a pinch
Preparation:
The preparation for Candied Pecans is extremely easy and will take you no time at all. Start by taking out a pan and adding the sugar, water, cinnamon and salt.
Cook for around 2 minutes on medium heat until the sugar has melted and you get a bubbling mixture.
At this point add the Pecan halves and cook for another 3 minutes, stirring and making sure all the pecans are nicely covered by the sugar paste.
Place the pecans on parchment paper (spread them out) and let them cool.
Enjoy :)
