Beijinhos de Coco “Coconut Kisses”
Beijinhos de Coco “ Coconut Kisses” is a typical Brazilian dessert made for parties or coffee breaks. It’s super popular as it’s really easy to make and you only need 3 ingredients. People have been making their version of Beijinhos but the traditional recipe is still the most popular, because it is simple to prepare (you don’t need moulds or special pans) and everybody likes it.
I originally first made this recipe because I thought the name was super cute and ended up loving these little coconut kisses.
5 Minutes
Cooking Time: 15 Minutes
Ingredients for 10/12 Coconut Kisses
Butter - 15 g (1 Tbsp)
Condensed Milk - 200 ml (1 can)
Grated Coconut - 125 g
Preparation:
Place the butter and the condensed milk in a pan. Mix, always on medium heat, until the mixture doesn't stick to the pan (10 to 15 minutes more or less). It should be quite dense.
Remove from heat and add 100g of the shredded coconut. Mix together and let it cool for around 20/30 minutes.
Make small balls with your hands (around 10 to 12 depending on how large you want to make them). Dip the balls in the remaining shredded coconut and sprinkle some on top.
Refrigerate your balls in the fridge before serving (at least 30 minutes) - you can even keep them overnight.
Beijinhos de Coco are super easy to store and you can just leave them in the fridge for 3 days.
